A Ravenrock fixed-blade knife with acid-etched blade and Russian olive burl scales, displayed on its hand-stitched leather sheath.
Ravenrock Knives

Custom fixed-blade knives.

Made one at a time in my shop. 80CrV2 steel, stabilized burl handles, and a hand-stitched leather sheath with every knife.

The workshop

One person, a few knives at a time.

I build and finish every knife myself, usually one to a few at a time, and keep a record of each one from raw steel to finished edge.

01

80CrV2 steel

A tough, fine-grained carbon steel chosen for edge retention and ease of resharpening. Heat-treated in-shop, hardened to 55–60 HRC.

02

Hybrid resin/burl scales

Cactus Juice stabilized Russian olive burl, hand selected and cut, resin cast to present a one-of-a-kind grain pattern. Set on a G10 liner with brass pins.

03

Hand-stitched leather

Every knife comes with a fitted veg-tan leather sheath, hand-shaped, burnished, and stamped with my maker’s mark.
