Mirror finished camp chopper featuring high contrast resin/burl and a veg-tan sleeve.
Made one at a time in my shop. 80CrV2 steel, stabilized burl handles, and a hand-stitched leather sheath with every knife.
I build and finish every knife myself, usually one to a few at a time, and keep a record of each one from raw steel to finished edge.
A tough, fine-grained carbon steel chosen for edge retention and ease of resharpening. Heat-treated in-shop, hardened to 55–60 HRC.
Cactus Juice stabilized Russian olive burl, hand selected and cut, resin cast to present a one-of-a-kind grain pattern. Set on a G10 liner with brass pins.
Every knife comes with a fitted veg-tan leather sheath, hand-shaped, burnished, and stamped with my maker’s mark.

Mirror finished camp chopper featuring high contrast resin/burl and a veg-tan sleeve.
The first of a small three-knife release. Russian olive burl set in a vivid blue-green stabilizing resin, paired with a refined acid etch process for a cleaner, more even dark blade.
A shift in finish: long, layered acid etches produce a deep, oxide-dark surface I've kept using since. Scales were reshaped for a better thumb grip and a proper lanyard hole.
I make a few small releases and take on a handful of commissions each year. If something here interests you, send me a note.
